Come Join Our Family!Our corporate office in Audubon, PA is currently seeking a Manager, Worker's Compensation Claims to join our team! Our goal is for this role to continually expand and grow! To achieve that goal, this position is based fully onsite, 100% of the time with no remote working opportunities. Potential total compensation package up to $150,000, commensurate with experience.What You Will Do:
  • Direct overall Workers' compensation program management and oversee the administration of Worker Compensation claims.
  • Perform specialized duties in the oversight and administration of workers' compensation programs and activities; review, analyze, and respond to a wide variety of workers' compensation and related issues; develop plans and recommendation for risk mitigation; implement mitigation efforts when approved.
  • Perform research and assessments on workers' compensation claims.
  • Prepare reports and responses related to discovery requests and informational subpoenas as requested for third party partners, review by the legal department or outside counsel as required.
  • Organize, categorize, and summarize research results gathered from case files and other relevant records and documents.
  • Coordinate with injured employees, their managers, medical care providers, witnesses, and others to obtain information, testimony, and evidence.
  • Collaborate with Worker's Compensation stakeholders including, the claims administrator TPA, attorneys, and providers to determine the compensability and strategy for handling and/or resolving claims of injuries to employees and the appropriate issuance of workers' compensation benefits.
  • Review policies, programs, and benefits for cost effectiveness; makes program modifications as needed for regulatory compliance.
  • Confer with departments individually and in team discussions regarding injuries/illnesses/risk exposure and recommend methods to minimize and avoid future potential injuries and illnesses.
  • Develop and recommend policies and claim procedures regarding the workers' compensation processes and administer the day-to-day operations.
  • Engage with and assess the placement and monitoring of injured employees in permanent and temporary modified and alternate work assignments.
  • Manage all aspects of the return-to-work process including collaboration with related departments, medical providers, etc.
  • Provide training for managers regarding workers' compensation procedures and policies, , and any other applicable program and/or federal and state laws covering injured workers.
  • Communicate claims costs and reserve information as required per the annual report to the state and to financial auditors, as necessary as a self-insured employer.
  • Advises executives, department managers and supervisors about the status of claims, loss experience trends and program costs on a monthly basis.
  • Oversee and monitor the activities and performance of the workers' compensation third party claims administrator and company Worker's Compensation attorneys.
  • Stay abreast of latest trends and innovations in the field of workers' compensation and self-insurance administration.
  • Monitor changes in laws, regulations, and technology that may affect operations; implement policy and procedural changes as required
  • Special projects and other job duties as assigned.
You Have:
  • Five (5) to seven (7) years' experience with the administration or management of Workers' Compensation claims and self-insured claims administration
  • Any combination of training and experience equivalent to completion of a BA Degree from an accredited college or university in business administration, insurance, or a related field
  • Strong skills related to Microsoft Office software products
  • Insurance carrier, legal, or TPA experience a plus
  • Excellent organization and verbal/written communication skills
  • Ability to recognize and meet deadlines
  • Experience with WCAIS Software a plus
  • Strong work ethic with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Must be organized and motivated to succeed with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
