Basic Qualifications* Bachelor's degree from an accredited university* 7 years of proven experience in workforce management in the manufacturing field* 3 years of leadership experience (formal or informal) managing work streams and people* Must be able to meet travel requirement of up to 50%* Superior verbal and written communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate with internal and external personnel at all levels of the organization.* This position entails access to export-controlled items and employment offers are conditioned upon an applicant's ability to lawfully obtain access to such items* Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. This position can be based out of Wichita Falls, TX, Hampton, VA, La Porte, IN, Cleveland, OH, Branford/Winsted, CT, Dover, NJ or Morristown, TN.The Manager, Workforce Management is responsible for the Workforce Management strategy of the Quality Function to ensure efficient staffing in Quality Control meet service level objectives. This includes standardizing and enforcing workforce management practices, policies, procedures, and technology practices across Howmet Engine locations. This position will direct, develop, and ensure cohesion among the Quality Control department and the Quality Function. Lastly, this position will be expected to lead continuous improvements in the use of technology within Quality Control.Primary Responsibilities* Provide guidance, direction, and support in developing and executing staffing strategies and forecasts that align with business goals and customers' demands.* Analyze historical data and current trends to accurately forecast staffing requirements and new requirements in new jobs.* Constantly adapt strategies and processes in response to a dynamic and evolving manufacturing environment.* Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including HR, Supply Chain, and Finance to formulate staffing, training and development strategies, and ensure seamless communication that align with business goals.* Continuously refine and improve workforce management processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance operational effectiveness.* Generate regular reports and performance metrics, providing insights and recommendations for process improvements to senior management.
