Job Description:

The managerial consultant (chief of staff) is a key member of the leadership team that supports the Senior Vice President (SVP) & Area Manager. Key responsibilities include aligning departments around operations and efficiency, project management to support a $2 billion construction project, and developing initiatives to promote growth in new markets. Other duties involve aligning departments with strategic objectives, handling internal communications, resolving operational issues, assessing performance metrics, and overseeing the SVP's schedule/calendar.

Job Summary:

Serves as a consultant to ensure the alignment, buy-in, and coordination of diverse stakeholders to drive the implementation of strategic business initiatives and projects/programs across one or more functional tracks or workstreams. Drives business strategy, organizational alignment, and prioritization of business initiatives. Leads the work of project/program team members by requesting and coordinating internal and/or external resources. Leads the development and implementation of business initiatives, systems, and/or processes to a desired future state. Manages complex, cross-functional projects/programs, and proactively monitors and identifies client, project, program, and/or business risks. Designs and leads change management plans associated with business initiatives. Drives assessment of strategic performance metrics to support business initiatives. Supports vendor management as required. Monitors compliance of work activities by ensuring business plans and team members adhere to relevant policies and procedures.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Promotes learning in others by proactively providing and/or developing information, resources, advice, and expertise with coworkers and members; builds relationships with cross-functional/external stakeholders and customers. Listens to, seeks, and addresses performance feedback; proactively provides actionable feedback to others and to managers.
  • Completes work assignments autonomously and supports business-specific projects by applying expertise in subject area and business knowledge to generate creative solutions; encourages team members to adapt to and follow all procedures and policies.
  • Serves as a consultant to ensure the alignment, buy-in, and coordination of diverse stakeholders to drive the implementation of strategic business initiatives and projects/programs.
  • Drives business strategy, organizational alignment, and prioritization of business initiatives by working closely with executives to facilitate the development, refinement, and articulation of the business strategy.
  • Leads the work of project/program team members by requesting and coordinating internal and/or external resources based on the alignment of team member skills and project/program demands.
  • Develops requirements for large-scale complex business, process, or system solutions within assigned or across business domain(s).
  • Leads the development and implementation of business initiatives, systems, and/or processes to a desired future state.
  • Manages complex, cross-functional projects and/or programs by coordinating stakeholders; recommending or assigning team resources based on project needs.
  • Proactively monitors and identifies client, project, program, and/or business risks, issues, and trigger events.
  • Designs and leads change management plans associated with business initiatives.
  • Drives the assessment of strategic performance metrics to support business initiatives.
  • Serves as an advocate for continuous learning and professional development.
  • Supports vendor management as required.
  • Monitors compliance of work activities by ensuring business plans and team members adhere to relevant policies and procedures.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university and Minimum six (6) years experience in consulting, project management, data analytics, operations or a directly related field OR Masters degree in Business Administration, Public Health, Health Services Administration, or related field and Minimum four (4) years experience in consulting, project management, data analytics, operations or a directly related field OR Minimum nine (9) years experience in consulting, project management, data analytics, operations or a directly related field.
