- Responsible for day to day activities of managing consulting projects including leadership and interaction with other team members, professionals from other firms involved in the engagement, and client personnel.
- Apply business, economics, finance, accounting and analytical skills to various client situations and practice disciplines (e.g., financial modeling, ratio and comparable company analysis, review/analysis of financial statements and projections, assessing business plans, valuations, conducting due diligence on balance sheet and profit and loss statement items, etc.).
- Prepare complex financial projections and worksheets to model business processes and/or actual or hypothetical transactions.
- Create detailed and innovative quantitative models that solve business problems based on key performance metrics and quantify the impact of problems and solutions.
- Research, analyze, and track communications and media industry trends, events, and specific company developments.
- Maintain detailed working paper records reflecting assumptions, methodologies and sources of information employed during the performance of all analytical tasks.
- Ensure a quality product, as well as delivery of all work within established timeframes.
- Prepare draft written analyses and other reports for third parties, as necessary, on the project scope, findings and/or results of activities.
- Prepare PowerPoint presentations and quantitative exhibits for third parties, as necessary, on the project scope, findings and/or results of activities.
- Organize information to facilitate effective data access and analysis.
- Maintain a professional image within the firm and project the same to those outside the firm.How You'll GrowProvide engagement leadership on projects.Basic Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Business Administration.
- Minimum 12 years experience in Finance or Accounting/Audit.
- Minimum 12 years experience working with Corporate Finance and Accounting principles.
- Minimum 12 years experience with Financial Modeling, Valuations, and Due Diligence.
- This role requires travel to clients and FTI offices.Preferred Skills
- MBA. CPA and/or CFE.
- Prior experience in the communications, media, consulting or restructuring fields.
- Ability to interface with team members and clients in demanding, deadline-driven environments.
- Proficiency with PC environment and related software, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to work independently in fast-paced, multi-task environments; demonstrate willingness to research, analyze and develop new skills.
- Maintain flexibility with respect to assigned tasks and engagements due to changing deadlines and priorities.
- Familiarity with internet-based financial research resources for corporate information, SEC filings, competitive data, etc.
- General knowledge of corporate bankruptcy processes and procedures.
