Peter Freeman, Inc., founded in 1990, represents leading international artists and the estates of several generations, spanning the 19th, 20th, and 21st centuries, and specializes in important historical works with particular emphasis on early Pop, Minimal, and Conceptual Art.The gallery presents at least five exhibitions each year of work we believe is especially relevant to the art of our time. Solo exhibitions highlight the rich way in which artists respond to the materials, forces, and questions of the day. Focused group exhibitions explore significant movements, themes, and ideas that continue to influence and define our culture. The historic works handled by the gallery over the past thirty years are broad-ranging and can often be defined by their rarity and significance. The gallery is re-launching a second location in Paris in the Spring of 2025.Reporting to the owner, Peter Freeman, the Managing Director will lead the Gallery's team and business strategy.Financial Oversight and Planning Creating an annual operating budgetManagement of cash flowCreating exhibition budgets in collaboration with senior staffFinancial forecasting and projectionsOversight of important annual financial deadlines and maintenance of the accounting calendarOversight of quarterly artist and client statementsFinancial reporting, interpretation and analysisInvoicing, conforming to local and international tax and customs complianceFinancial liaison with the Paris locationManagement and Administration Management and organization of an 18-person teamStaff development and on-boardingConducting annual performance reviews and maintaining an overall compensation programManagement of the company's PEORenewals of Health Insurance, General Liability and Keyman policies, oversight of Fine Arts Insurance policies and renewalsLegal agreements, leases and contractsFacilities management, liaison to the Landlord and co-op boardEnsuring complianceOversight of long and short term projectsManaging the annual exhibitions and art fair calendar in collaboration with the DirectorsArt fair managementThe right candidate is a strong communicator, able to build clear systems and make strong decisions in support of the gallery as a whole.Application Instructions / Public Contact Information Please send resume and cover letter to Catherine ...@peterfreemaninc.com using the subject line Managing Director [Your Name] #J-18808-Ljbffr
