Overview:

Baltimore-based Stansberry Research is looking for a dilligent Managing Editor to join our Editorial Team. In this role, you will collaborate to ensure the accurancy and consistency of all our Company's publications. The mission is to deliver error free and high-quality editorial content to the Companys customer base to maintain and grow the subscriber base across various media sources.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the Executive Editor, Assistant Managing Editor, and Production Specialist, and Proofreader teams to produce and deliver articles of interest that are of the highest possible quality, consistent with company standards and which appeal to our readership
• Skillfully review editorial content, making decisions on improvements and enhancements to include language and substance
• Compose email blurbs and other supporting materials for assigned publications by evaluating the recommendation and synthesizing it for dissemination to subscribers.
• Change identified errors in facts, data, text, and tone. Verify hyperlinks and references in every publication reviewed
• Collaborate cross-functionally with assistant managing editors and production team to ensure consistency of brand messaging and appearance
• Keep up-to-date with current market trends through independent research on relevant and reliable sources within the investment industry
• Own creative/technical web-layout functions including coding in HTML and utilizing WordPress
• Partner on additional strategic projects within the editorial, production, and layout teams

Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree in Journalism, English or related field is highly desired
• 3-5 years of experience on an editorial team for dynamic publications
• Exceptional demonstrated grammar, writing, and editorial
• Ability to work very independently and complete tasks and assignments with little supervision
• Extremely sharp eye for detail
• High level of self-direction and a strong work ethic
• Ability to juggle and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously
• Ability to execute under tight production deadlines as determined by editorial schedule
• Ability to work collaboratively within editorial and production team
• Ability to adapt to company-specific tasks and workflow and become an expert on company-specific style preferences
• Advanced math skills to include calculating percentage changes and other data claimed within publications
