Northrop Grumman Systems Corporation (NGSC) is seeking a *Maneuver Work Area Commander (WAC) - *to join our growing team of diverse professionals at *Fort Leavenworth, Kansas*. The Maneuver WAC is responsible for the maneuver of conventional units in the WARSIM simulation in support of distributed exercises. The Maneuver WAC serves as the subordinate maneuver cell to a BTG/DTG Command Post during an Exercise *Responsibilities:** Maneuver Work Area Commander (WAC) function as the commander of those forces assigned to the Work Area (WA). * Makes tactical decisions for the sub-units assigned to the WA within the intent of the overall mission and guidance from the Command Posts (CPs). * Make course of action recommendations to the CPs. * Task-organize the forces assigned to the WA. * Plan routes of advance or retrograde IAW OPLAN. * Communicates the ground truth to the CPs. * Enter orders into simulation for units assigned to his workstation as required. * Monitor assigned units via visual display and reports. * Apprise the CP of the combat status of all assigned units and any enemy activity, as directed, and follow the recommended course of action. * Ensure assigned units are arrayed and employed in doctrinally correct manner based on situation and operations order(s).*Basic Qualifications:** One of the following:* High school diploma or GED with a minimum of 9 years of professional and/or military leadership experience * Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 5 years of professional and/or military leadership experience * Master's degree with a minimum of 3 years of professional and/or military leadership experience * Must be able to work on-site at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas * Must be able to travel as needed (up to 20% of the time) * Must have an active U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Secret security clearance * Must be proficient with MS office suite of software (PowerPoint, Word, and Excel)*Preferred Qualifications:** Advanced degree * Experience with Constructive Simulation Models (WARSIM especially) * U.S. Army Command and General Staff Officer Course, or Military Education Level 4 (MEL 4) equivalent Intermediate Level Education (ILE) graduate * Experience working with the Mission Command Training Program (MCTP) * Familiar with U.S. Army doctrine * Familiar with Opposing Force Doctrine (FM 7-100 Series)*Salary Range: *$69,600 - $104,400The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
