This is a Manger of a DSP (Delivery Service Partner) for Amazon position. Candidate will be working 40 - 50 hours per week. Most of the time you will be in the Amazon Parking Lot performing tasks listed below. You ABSOLUTELY need to be at work on-time and no callouts. A staff of 60 drivers per day will be depending on you being at your spot on-time. You are there during heavy snowstorms, rain fall, cold or hot weather. If Amazon is working - you are working. It's a high-energy, fast-paced environment. You will be the liaison between Amazon management and drivers. Candidate must possess the following qualities:
- Must ALWAYS be punctual / NEVER call-out
- Must be able to deal with very high pace / high energy / high pressure environment
- Must be a critical thinker at a moment's time
- Must have professional poise and decision making
- Must be very well spoken / articulate
- Must be well versed in technology
Candidate will be performing the following tasks:
- Distribution of driver equipment in the beginning of the day
- Collection of driver equipment in the end of the day
- Route / Delivery Monitoring using Amazon Logistics Portal
- Route Re-Assignment
- Driver Recruiting / Coaching / Training
- Discuss Driver Performance and Metrics
- Enforce Standards for Drivers
- Daily Standup Meetings
- Daily Van Inspections
- Van Rental Exchanges
- Rescues / Deliveries
- Daily Reporting - van counts, road issues
- Update Spreadsheets
- Fill out incident reports
- Communicating with Amazon management
- Maintain Equipment Inventory
