Job Summary:
- The WMS (Manhattan) Tester will be responsible for the end-to-end testing and quality assurance of the Manhattan WMS application.
- This includes developing test cases, executing tests, troubleshooting issues, and collaborating with the development and operations teams to ensure that the system performs optimally.
- The role requires a deep understanding of warehouse and inventory management processes as well as hands-on experience with the Manhattan WMS.
- Should work in office minimum of 3 days a week (NO EXCEPTION) .
Key Responsibilities:
1. Test Planning & Design:
- Analyse functional and technical specifications for Manhattan WMS modules (receiving, inventory management, picking, packing, shipping, etc.).
- Develop comprehensive test strategies, test plans, and test cases based on business requirements.
- Define test scripts, scenarios, and data requirements for various warehouse functions.
2. Test Execution:
- Conduct functional, integration, system, and regression testing of the Manhattan WMS.
- Execute both manual and automated tests to validate the system's performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Identify and troubleshoot issues, logging defects and collaborating with developers for fixes.
3. Automation:
- Implement test automation strategies for critical workflows to improve efficiency and accuracy in testing.
- Maintain and enhance automation scripts for recurring tests, as applicable.
4. Collaboration & Communication:
- Work closely with development teams, business analysts, and end-users to gather test requirements and clarify business needs.
- Participate in requirement review sessions and provide feedback on design and functionality.
- Communicate testing progress, results, and defect statuses to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
5. Documentation:
- Document testing processes, including test scripts, defect logs, and test completion reports.
- Maintain a repository of test cases and update them regularly based on system upgrades or changes in requirements.
- Create detailed test exit reports and participate in post-implementation reviews.
6. Support & Training:
- Assist in user acceptance testing (UAT) and provide support to end-users to ensure smooth operations.
- Train and mentor offshore testers or business users on the system as necessary.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or related field.
Experience:
- 3-5+ years of hands-on experience with Manhattan WMS, including at least 2 years in WMS testing or a quality assurance role.
- Total testing experience is minimum of 8 to 10 years
Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of warehouse management functions and Manhattan WMS workflows.
- Proficiency in test management tools ADO, Qtest and defect tracking systems.
- Experience with automation tools (e.g., TOSCA, or other WMS-compatible tools) is a plus.
- Experience with Agile methodology and participation in scrum teams is mandatory
