We are seeking an energetic and motivated Manual Assembly Operator to join our growing team at Blum USA. This is a great opportunity to link your career with an established international company. Job ResponsibilitiesAs a Manual Assembly Operator, you will be responsible for operating semi-automatic assembly machines, inserting parts into the machine fixture and supplying machine with components for assembly. Additional responsibilities for this position include:
- Complete visual checks of material introduced into the assembly process
- Load/unload parts on Powder Coating line
- Operate equipment to meet standard production rate
- Manually assemble parts using both hands
- Making cardboard boxes
- Read and interpret shop packs
- Clean machines and work area
Job RequirementsTo be successful in this type of position, we need team players who bring a positive attitude to the work place and enjoy being around and working with others. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience preferably working with Automated Assembly machines in an industrial manufacturing environment. Additional requirements for this position include:
- High School diploma or GED from an accredited institution preferred
- Basic math skills
- Sits or stands constantly, 6-8 hours
- Walks occasionally, 1-3 hours
- Twists/Turns, Stoops/Bends, Squats/Kneels occasionally, 1-3 hours
- Reaches constantly, 6-8 hours
- Lifts/Carries 26-40 lbs up to a distance of 5 feet, over 40 times per shift
- Pushes/Pulls 26-40 lbs up to a distance of 5 feet, over 40 times per shift
- Pushes/Pulls 10-25 lbs up to a distance of 25 feet, over 40 times per shift
- Use both hands to move objects for 6-8 hours per day
- Use a simple grasp to pick up objects with both hands for 6-8 hours per day
- Use both hands to finely manipulate objects for 1-3 hours per day
