Job Description:We are seeking a skilled Manual Lathe Machinist and CNC Mill/Lathe Operator to join our team. This role involves programming and operating manual and CNC machines to manufacture parts according to drawings or instructions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Program and operate manual mill and lathe machines.
- Inspect parts to ensure specified dimensions are met using micrometers, calipers, and other measuring devices.
- Select correct tooling and set up machines accurately.
- Maintain a high level of workmanship and ensure work area cleanliness.
- Make offsets and edits independently and meet daily/weekly production quotas.
- Participate in R&D design reviews and contribute to team success.
Other Duties:
- Mentor and assist less experienced machinists and CNC operators.
- Visualize and study blueprints to aid in machining processes.
- Set up and operate EDM machines.
- Perform other tasks as assigned while exercising good judgment and critical thinking skills.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED.
- Trained in programming and operating CNC machines or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in programming and operating CNC/manual machines.
- Proficiency with CNC equipment, calipers, micrometers, and height gauges.
- Basic computer skills and mathematical skills, including geometry and trigonometry.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
