Learns and follows Orbitform's Purpose, Mission, Vision & Values. Able to use standard gaging equipment and read prints. Ownership of assigned areas. This includes training other machinists, Quality and managing own work backlog. Proven ability to program using MasterCAM or similar and can use to program and machine our product complete. Responsible for quality control. Able to adjust as necessary to produce product within specifications. Reject product outside of specifications. Follows QC procedures for non-conforming material. Provides estimated timing for WIP when requested by engineering, spare parts, or others. Be aware of inventory levels and to assist area leaders in the scheduling of the manufacturing of inventory and non-inventory items. Responsible for filing and storing of proven programs, special tooling, fixtures, tooling sheets etc. Ability to work in all areas of the machining department, CNC Lathe Area, CNC Mill Area, Manual Area, & Tool Cell Area. Capable of working with our vendors to help with continuous improvement of Quality, to reduce setup times and machining times. All other duties as assigned. Requirements Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time position. Hours of work are Monday through Thursday, 6:00am - 4:30pm, 40 hours per week. This position regularly requires overtime hours. Travel: No overnight travel anticipated for this position. Some occasional local day travel may be necessary. Preferred/Required Education and Experience: Candidates will be able to work without supervision. Manage and maintain assigned areas. Be able to make decisions, trouble shoot and follow Orbitform procedures. Education requirements: Journeyman Card, Technical Certificate, or a minimum of 5 years on-the-job training.
