Manual Machinist job duties:Machine and fabricate parts by setting up and operating manual machines including: ID/OD Grinders, Manual Turret Lathe & Engine Lathe, Horizontal Boring Mill, Vertical Boring Mill, Radial Drill, Surface Grinders, Drill Press, and Planer MillPerforming layouts, setting up and operating conventional machine tools as required to machine new parts of repair existing partsReading and interpreting all blueprint drawings, including geometric dimensioning and tolerancingDesigning setup methods where none existInstructing other shop personnel on proper machining techniquesContinually improving methods to deliver higher quality with improved costsCompletion of a machinist apprentice program or equivalent trainingAbility to hold close tolerances and conduct component inspectionsUtilize precision measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, indicators, and gaugesWillingness to work in a team environmentOpenness to working overtime as required1st shift(M-F) 5:30am-3:30pmDirect HirePay range: $30-36 per hourAbout Aerotek:We know that finding work is hard, and finding meaningful work is harder.
