Manual Machinist A local custom metals shop is currently seeking qualified Manual Machinists. Responsibilities: *Operates and maintains lathe and milling machines - We have Southwestern Industries mills and lathes*Reviews drawings, instructions, blueprints or samples to ensure accurate production*Takes precise measurements for cutting or shaping*Selects appropriate machine and settings for a given task*Monitors production, adjusting feed and other settings as necessary*Checks output for quality assurance and documents or discards defects*Maintains a safe and clean workstation*Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed*R&D and prototype small batch projects*Support our Sheet Metal and Misc. Metals shop needsJob RequirementsQualifications: *Experience in machining w/ steel, aluminum, and stainless steel preferred*Ability to follow work orders and work in teams*ProtoTrak control experience a plus!*Experience with Southwestern knee mills and lathes a plus!*Ability to read and interpret designs/blueprints*Ability to perform physical labor and lift at least 50 pounds*Ability to work standing for an 8-hour shift*Knowledge of various steels and alloys, NDE processes and requirements*High School Diploma or GED equivalent required*Valid Driver's license required**Must pass pre-employment testing to include background checks, MVR, and drug screen *****All Qualified Candidates, please contact: Mike Nehrbas ***Phone: 302-###-####Email resume to: ...@synerfac.com
