Direct hire, 1st Shift Manual Machinist!Our client, a leading provider in the industrial manufacturing and fabrication sector, is seeking a skilled Manual Machinist to join their team in Mt. Joy, PA. This position involves operating manual machines to produce high-quality, precision components according to detailed specifications, and ability to set up their own work space and machines. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in machining, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while adhering to safety and quality standards. - Ability to read and understand Blueprints and Routers/Travelers.- Knowledge of proper use and interpretation of measuring tools and gauges.- Produce machined parts by programming, setting up, and operating an HNK Mill.- Ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.- Maintain accurate records of operations and production.- Oversee the maintenance of equipment and supplies.Job Requirements- A minimum of 5 years of experience working with milling machines, with additional experience in horizontal boring mills being a plus.- At least 5 years of experience in setting up machines, creating fixtures, and independently starting machines in a job shop environment.- Strong knowledge of machinery and tools, including their design, applications, repair, and maintenance.- In-depth understanding of metals, alloys, and other materials, including their properties, machinability, and appropriate uses.- Ability to move or transfer products with a hoist or overhead crane.
