This full-time, first-shift position involves precision machining operations to produce high-quality parts. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience with manual mills and lathes, and the ability to set up, operate, troubleshoot, and repair machinery while maintaining adherence to blueprint specifications. Details:
- Pay Range: $22 - $27/Hr.
- Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
- Start Date: ASAP
Key Responsibilities:
- Machine Operation: Set up and operate mills and lathes.
- Job Preparation: Determine and attach the necessary fixtures, attachments, and tools according to job specifications.
- Material Verification: Verify incoming work orders for correct material.
- Quality Maintenance: Observe machine operations, take measurements, detect malfunctions, troubleshoot processes, and adhere to quality assurance procedures.
- Equipment Maintenance: Complete preventive maintenance on equipment.
- Measurement and Documentation: Use precision measuring instruments to maintain accurate dimensional tolerances, and document actions through production and quality logs.
- Safety and Cleanliness: Maintain a clean and safe working environment by following safety protocols and procedures.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; 2-year technical college degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in the machine tool trade.
- Experience with horizontal milling machines.
- Proficient in using measuring tools, gauges, and cutting tools.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and routers.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Capability to work on complex projects with minimal guidance.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for 8-10 hour shifts.
