Job Description:
Volt is hiring for a Manufacturing Controller in Moscow, IA.As a Manufacturing Controller, you will:
  • Cost Accounting:
    • Develop and maintain cost accounting systems and procedures.
    • Analyze manufacturing costs and prepare regular reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs.
    • Conduct variance analysis to identify cost drivers and recommend corrective actions.
    • Oversee the calculation of labor, material, and overhead costs to ensure accurate product costing.
    • Monitor and report on inventory valuation, including raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods.
  • Financial Reporting:
    • Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
    • Ensure compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements.
    • Collaborate with the CFO to develop and implement financial strategies and plans.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting:
    • Lead the annual budgeting process for the manufacturing operations.
    • Develop financial forecasts and models to support business planning and decision-making.
    • Monitor budget performance and provide variance analysis.
  • Internal Controls and Compliance:
    • Establish and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets.
    • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
    • Coordinate with internal and external auditors during audits and reviews.
  • Operational Support:
    • Partner with manufacturing management to provide financial insights and support operational efficiency.
    • Conduct financial analysis of manufacturing processes to identify cost-saving opportunities.
    • Support new product development by providing cost estimates and financial analysis.
  • Team Leadership:
    • Manage and mentor the cost accounting team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
    • Provide training and development opportunities to enhance team capabilities.
This is a full-time, Direct Hire position.The ideal candidate will have:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in cost accounting within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and cost accounting principles.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and influence decision-making.
  • Strong leadership skills with a track record of managing and developing teams.
