My client is a fast-growing branch of a worldwide manufacturing company, specializing in the manufacturing of precision machined components used by other manufacturers. They have a nice product that falls in the workholding umbrella. Located in the northern suburbs of Chicago, this division is set for a rapid expansion, as the company is investing heavily into the future of the site.
Description
- Developing, evaluating, and improving manufacturing methods.
- Programming new, custom projects (in MasterCAM).
- Assisting in the design and improvement of production facilities.
- Implementing lean manufacturing techniques to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
- Coordinating with design engineering and other departments to resolve manufacturing problems.
- Maintaining detailed documentation of all manufacturing processes.
- Ensuring compliance with industry safety and production standards.
- Providing training and guidance to manufacturing staff as needed.
Profile
- A Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and techniques.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Proficiency in CAD/CAM software and other engineering tools.
