Our team is responsible for supporting a collection of programs that defend against airborne threats, from established production and sustainment programs to emerging development programs.What You Will Be DoingAs the Manufacturing Engineer you will be responsible for driving the transition of new or revised designs from development to production, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and resolving technical manufacturing issues with suppliers.Your responsibilities will include:• Evaluating designs for producibility and collaborating with suppliers to resolve technical manufacturing issues• Leading manufacturing process validation activities and driving cost reduction initiatives• Identifying risks to production and implementing mitigation plans• Providing Lockheed Martin and supplier factory manufacturing support• Participating in earned value management and addressing program-related manufacturing or tooling issues• Building relationships with cross-functional teams, including Design Engineering, Quality Engineering, Global Supply Chain, and Program Management• Communicating with government customers and contributing to proposal estimating and design for manufacture inputWhy Join UsWe're looking for a collaborative and results-driven Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed.
