Robert Bosch Fuel Systems is part of the Bosch Powertrain Solutions division and is a worldwide leader in diesel injection technology.Job DescriptionResponsible for assembly and test of diesel fuel injectors and pumps.Provide Manufacturing Engineering support for shopfloor issues, helping Job Setter and Skilled trades to troubleshoot quality issues or machines down by identifying root cause and contacting vendors in order to procure spare parts or get service support.Lead projects such as upgrade of old equipment, Lean Line Design, cost reduction, cycle time reduction, productivity improvement, scrap reduction, etc.Lead customer or internal quality issues using Bosch Problem Solving techniques (8D, Shainin, etc).Interact with cross-functional team to launch new products (Prepare Series Production).Review and implement Engineering Change Requests related to product or process changes.Design, specify, runoff, and qualify new semi-automated assembly stations, test equipment, and gages.Create and maintain process documents and instructions such as Work Instructions, Control Plan, P-FMEA, Capability studies, Value Stream Design, etc.Support shopfloor supervisor with employee training.QualificationsBasic Qualifications:Bachelor of Engineering3 years of professional experience in the following areas:Diesel fuel injector and pump functional testing.Design of assembly stations or testing equipmentSolidWorks CAD software (3D modelling)Precision Gauging (sub-micron)Ergonomic Design of Work SystemsLean Manufacturing tools and methodsPreferred Qualifications:Proficiency to teach and work with all levels of the organization.Experience to coordinate and manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a dynamic environment.Proficiency at effective root cause analysis and problem identification / solving skills.Discipline and consistency regarding adherence to established company standards, policies, and procedures.Proficiency to work on cross-functional teams with a high degree of self-initiative.Professional experience with Rexroth tightening systemsAdditional InformationBy choice, we are committed to a diverse workforce - EOE/Protected Veteran/Disabled.BOSCH is a proud supporter of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics) InitiativesFIRST Robotics (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology)AWIM (A World In Motion)Indefinite U.S. work authorized individuals only.
