Job Description
- With minimum direction, develops, evaluates, and improves manufacturing methods, utilizing knowledge of product design, materials and parts, fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment capabilities, assembly methods, and quality control standards.
- Performs analysis and work force utilization planning, space requirements, and workflow, and designs layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency.
- Confers with planning and design staff concerning product design and tooling to ensure efficient production methods.
- May confer with vendors to determine product specifications and arrange for purchase of equipment, materials, or parts, and evaluates products according to specification s and quality standards.
- Estimates production times, staffing requirements, and related costs to provide information for management decisions.
- Supports management, engineering, and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, and other considerations to facilitate production processes.
- Designs tooling, fixtures, product/part, machines
- Develops and recommends plans for productivity and efficiency improvements and performs manufacturing cost estimating and feasibility studies.
- Assists in establishing advanced quality engineering standards and procedures and submit as required by customer needs.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Must actively support our Health, Safety and Environmental Policies, immediately report all dangerous situations and correct them when able to do so safely, participate in all required Safety Training, meetings, inspections and use all required PPE.
