As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will provide technical support and guidance for improving the financial performance of existing programs and developing standards for new programs. RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Analyze existing processes using data and present proposals on improvements. Implementation and verification of acceptance of proposed improvements.
  • Work with cost accountants to understand opportunities for improvement to the process which will lead to improved financial performance.
  • Work with cost estimator and sales teams to develop standard cost for new programs.
  • Provide Engineering skills and services to continually improve the productivity and quality of all departments within the Company.
  • Have a proven track record of success in a high-volume precision metal stamping environment and be passionate about driving continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Work with finance to identify cost savings opportunities and implement cost improvement projects.
Requirements
  • BS degree in Manufacturing Systems Engineering, Business Operations, or equivalent.
  • Must possess good analytical and problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.
  • 1-2 years minimum experience in a medium/high volume manufacturing environment.
  • Must be driven self-starter that works with little supervision.
  • Must have good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must possess the ability to multi-task and set priorities.
  • Must be a Team player and have the ability to interact effectively with all departments within the Company.
  • Must have good windows-based PC skills (Microsoft Office, Outlook, Excel, etc).
  • Must be familiar with time studies.
  • ISO/QS knowledge preferred.
  • Plastic Injection/Insert Molding and/or Progressive Stamping Experience preferred.
  • Previous financial classes or experience a plus.
