Job Description:
MadgeTech is a leading provider of data logging solutions for a variety of industries, including pharmaceutical, food processing, and environmental monitoring. We are currently seeking a talented and experienced Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. The Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for overseeing and improving the manufacturing processes of our data logger products. This role involves working closely with the production team to ensure high-quality output, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and improve manufacturing processes and systems to optimize efficiency and productivity
  • Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation, including work instructions and standard operating procedures
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve production issues
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence of quality issues
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and reduce manufacturing costs
  • Oversee the selection, installation, and commissioning of new manufacturing equipment and technologies
  • Support new product development by providing input on design for manufacturability and process validation
  • Implement and maintain quality control measures to ensure the reliability and accuracy of data loggers
  • Develop testing protocols and conduct quality inspections during the manufacturing process
  • Oversee the creation of prototypes for new data logger models
  • Train and mentor production staff on new processes, equipment, and safety procedures to ensure compliance and operational excellence
  • Collaborate with other engineers, technicians, and stakeholders to achieve project goals
  • Ensure that all manufacturing processes adhere to relevant safety, environmental, and regulatory standards
  • Stay informed about changes in regulations and adjust processes accordingly
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
  • Proven experience as a Manufacturing Engineering, preferably in manufacturing of electronic devices
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and equipment
  • Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software and familiarity with ERP systems
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies a plus
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Strong project management and organizational abilities
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects simultaneously
