Role Summary:
An exciting entry-level opportunity for new or recent graduates who want to become knowledgeable subject matter experts in a vertically integrated and growing manufacturing environment for the state-of-the-art INNOMAG product family of fluoropolymer-lined sealless magnetic drive pumps. Working onsite in our manufacturing facility focusing on product assembly and testing operations in Addison, IL.
Responsibilities:
Support assembly and testing operations personnel in order to maintain high quality and safety standards, product throughput, and operational efficiency.
Create and modify accurate and thorough engineering and process documentation (drawings, specifications, instructions)
Create high-quality and professional customer-facing documentation and records including white papers, technical letters, test reports, certificates, etc.
Provide support to other functions and other sites by becoming a subject matter expert on applicable industry design, manufacturing, and testing standards and company policies and procedures, and applying that expertise to solve complicated problems
Be a key contributor to drive and implement product enhancements and new product designs
Work closely with other site manufacturing engineers and related functions in order to drive larger improvement projects and organization initiatives
Continual improvement activities within responsible area including root cause analysis, data mining, corrective action, workflow optimization, and cost savings
Introduction of new technologies and equipment including expanding the adoption of automation and digital tools
Support special testing and related operations that require strict engineering oversight and controls
Additional related duties deemed appropriate by the manager.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related equivalent degree and 1 to 3 years of relevant experience
Experience programming or coding of any type
Ability to use Windows operating system and basic proficiency using Microsoft Excel and related applications
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English, including the ability to generate professional technical documentation intended to communicate information to various audiences
Ability to manage several projects and ongoing tasks at once
Ability and drive to learn, grow, and adapt as new challenges and opportunities present themselves in an innovative and fast-paced manufacturing environment
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
Preferred Experience/Skills:
Experience using SolidWorks
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including VBA and advanced tools
Experience with ERP systems to support manufacturing and logistics operations
Experience using Microsoft Outlook
Experience reading and understanding engineering drawings and/or written specifications
Experience with machine maintenance and operation or similar related experience
Experience with relevant industry standards including HI and ASME standards for the design, construction, and testing of centrifugal pumps
Familiarity with manufacturing processes we perform in-house such as assembly, industrial painting, packaging, machining, injection molding, rotolining/rotomolding, composite fiber/resin processing, plastic welding
Ability to communicate in written or spoken Polish, Spanish, or Ukrainian
