Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer
Job Description
PVT (Plant Vehicle Team) group is a cross-functional team having responsibility of functional trial approval for launch as well as warranty claims/issues at the assembly plants. The PVT Engineer candidate will be a part of the Connected Vehicle team (supporting Infotainment, Sync, radio, speakers, amps, etc.). Responsibilities include supporting warranty and in-plant meetings, investigating warranty claims, communicating with dealers to resolve issues, investigating end-of-line breadboard failures, and facilitating daily quality metrics/meetings. Additional duties involve leading quality actions and ongoing product changes for vehicles at Louisville Assembly Plant, reviewing warranty claims data, working across skill teams, contacting dealerships for parts and repair diagnoses, participating in customer call backs, reviewing returned parts for root cause analysis, and developing corrective actions. The candidate will also support the assembly plant with various quality-related tasks, lead engineering commodity changes, support Variability Reduction Team (VRT), lead engineering trials, issue engineering alerts, engage technical experts for resolution, maintain quality documents, and make presentations to upper management. The role includes problem-solving, root cause analysis, developing containment actions, and generating documentation to track progress and improve quality outcomes.
