Job DetailsJob LocationCarmel - CARMEL, INDescriptionMission:The Manufacturing Engineer's primary responsibility is to develop and maintain manufacturing processes that include a high level of error proofing to provide quality products to our customers. This includes designing tooling, specifying equipment and programming control systems including PLC's, torque tools, leak testers, and vision systems.Key Outcomes (KPI'S):
- Design and Develop PLC Programming, tooling, and fixture designs that incorporate error proofing concepts for assembly operations..
- Support day to day operations of a production floor focused on assembly processes. This includes troubleshooting assembly issues.
- Interact with operations to design and implement improvements to existing PLC Programs, tooling, and assembly processes.
- Develop technical specifications for new equipment and tooling that is purchased from various vendors.
- Develop the assembly process for new products.
- Develop and maintain process documents such as FMEA's, control plans, training charts, shadowgraphs, etc.
- Launch new products through the assembly process.
- Recommends, designs, and implements improvements to production processes, methods and controls using the principles of lean manufacturing and Kaizen.

QualificationsStrengths to be Successful:
- Bachelor's degree required
- 5 - 7 years relevant work experience
- Automotive industry and lean manufacturing concept experience preferred
- Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
- Ability to interact effectively with customers, peers, management, manufacturing personnel, and both technical and non-technical people
- Use of Microsoft Office programs, skilled at use of Excel
- Ability to use AutoCAD 2D and 3D Design Software
- Ability to program and troubleshoot utilizing Allen Bradley PLC software
- Self -starter and team player
- Troubleshooting/problem solving ability
- Willingness to do what it takes to meet customer expectations
