- Develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing methods, utilizing knowledge of product design, materials, fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment capabilities, assembly methods, and quality control standards.
- Analyze and plan workforce utilization, space requirements, workflow, and design layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency.
- Apply statistical methods to estimate future manufacturing requirements and potential.
- Design, install, or troubleshoot manufacturing equipment.
- Study and record time, motion, methods, and speed involved in performance of production, maintenance, and other worker operations to establish standard production rates and to improve efficiency.
- Plan and establish sequence of operations to fabricate and assemble parts or products and to promote efficient utilization.
- Evaluate precision and accuracy of production and testing equipment and engineering drawings to formulate corrective action plan.
- Develop manufacturing processes by studying product requirements; researching, designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment.
- Improve manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout.
- Assure product and process quality by designing testing methods, then testing finished product and process capabilities, and establishing standards to confirm and validate manufacturing process.
- Keep equipment operational by coordinating maintenance and repair services, following manufacturer's instructions and established procedures, and requesting special services as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing engineering.
- Proven experience with casting, machining, welding, and working with exotic alloys.
- Proficiency in Mastercam and Syteline.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and industrial engineering concepts - such as production control, cost reduction, and systems analysis.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a creative approach for new ideas.
- Excellent communication, cooperation, and coordination skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in MS Office and CAD software.
- Strong project management skills.
- Experience in lean manufacturing and continuous improvement techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- Strong knowledge of safety protocols and procedures within a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Must be authorized to work in the respective country.
