Job Description: Work with the engineering team to ensure designs are optimized for production. Lead effort to transition prototype designs into production. Lead pilot production, creating manufacturing cells, floor plans, tooling and fixtures. Design a process to hand over to production with standard work and document traceability. Build quality into production through mistake proofing, system tests, and establishing metrics. Proficient in engineering tools such as CAD, revision and quality management. Solid understanding of manufacturing methods to create practical designs. Hands on, in the details, setting the pace for the team and exemplifying solid designs. Work with a project manager to sequence engineering tasks, accepting some of them personally and assisting technicians to accomplish their assignments. Required Skills: • LEAN, or Six Sigma background. Cycle time, tact time, 5S, Kanban pull system • Proven track record setting up production for complex electromechanical products including standard work, quality tracking. • Autodesk Inventor 3D CAD - Or experience in similar program with willingness to become proficient in Inventor • Manufacturing methods - Turning, milling, 3D printing, sheet metal, welding • PLM(Product Lifecycle Management) Experience - Working on a team managing revision control for engineering designs • Wiring harness, assembly and testing • Assembly - Hands on ability work with technicians to build prototypes Preferred Skills: • Marine industry experience • Work with unmanned systems • Electrical troubleshooting / basic design / soldering • Software programming • System troubleshooting • Ability to obtain a security clearance What we Offer: Competitive salary, comprehensive total rewards package (medical, dental, vision, 401K with employer match), and other great benefits.
