Work for the Smart Safety CompanyLocation: Eagan, MN Job Summary: The Manufacturing Engineer is an integral member of the Engineering and Production Team at Prime Design, a Safe Fleet company in Eagan, Minnesota. This role is primarily responsible for the plans and designs of the Lean Manufacturing process. Responsibilities will include new product introductions, existing product and processes improvement, lean-six sigma projects, and environmental, safety and capital projects.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maximizes operational efficiency by analyzing layout of equipment, workflow, assembly methods, and work force utilization while considering employee safety.
- Determines parts and tools needed in order to achieve manufacturing goals according to product and part specifications.
- Familiar with a variety of the field concepts, practices, and procedures. Performs a variety of complicated tasks.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
- This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Education, Experience and Qualifications: Minimum Requirements-
- Bachelor degree in Engineering, Industrial Management or related technical field
Preferred Qualifications- At least three years of experience in manufacturing environment: machine shop preferred
- Experience with 3-D modeling systems: SolidWorks preferred Proven track record using data analysis tools.
- Competent with Microsoft productivity tools especially Excel and Outlook
- Mechanical aptitude
- Training in Safety, Quality and Lean Manufacturing.
Physical Demands: This is a hands on job with the employee spending much of their time on the manufacturing floor.
