Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
- Engineer 4/5 axis machining processes from start to finish, including work holding selection and design.
- Develop and optimize CAM programs using Mastercam for simultaneous 5-axis milling.
- Simulate and validate machining processes to ensure optimal efficiency and precision.
- Collaborate with QC to define and refine inspection processes.
- Provide support to the shop floor team during part launches and troubleshooting.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to machining, tooling, and workholding.
- Maintain a focus on continuous improvement, process optimization, and cost reduction.
Requirements:
- Expertise in Mastercam for 5-axis milling.
- Extensive experience designing complex workholding for challenging parts.
- Deep knowledge of modern cutting tool and toolholding systems.
- Strong understanding of Blueprint reading and GD&T.
- Proven experience with hard metal machining.
- SolidWorks or equivalent CAD software experience is a plus.
- Mill/Turn experience is a plus.
