Job Description:

Job Responsibilities

Continuous Improvement (CI):

  • Lead and participate in CI initiatives to improve safety, quality, productivity, and environmental impact.
  • Manage CI projects, including setting goals, timelines, budgets, and documenting progress.
  • Develop and maintain PFMEA documentation and lead RPN reduction efforts.

Process and Documentation:

  • Maintain plant layouts, process routings, BOMs, and ensure accurate documentation for manufacturing processes.
  • Coordinate and implement Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) and validate capacity for production.

Training and Support:

  • Facilitate employee training in areas like welding, robotics, and troubleshooting.
  • Provide operator support and recommend corrective actions for equipment issues.

Customer and Compliance:

  • Collaborate with customers on CI projects and ensure compliance with safety, legal, and regulatory requirements.
  • Support the 5S methodology to maintain a safe and organized work environment.

General Tasks:

  • Document project outcomes, manage costs, and provide updates to management.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Work Experience

  • Minimum 5 years' experience within a manufacturing environment, preferably automotive stampings, welding, mechanical and modular assemblies
  • Rules, regulations and applicable legislation governing environmental regulations
  • Thorough knowledge of IATF 16949 & ISO 14001, Occupational Health & Safety Act, Ergonomics, Time Studies, Robotics and Industrial Relations
  • Ability to read and interpret blue print drawings
  • Sound understanding of Geometric Dimension + Tolerance
