Manufacturing Engineer – Body Systems

Position Description:

The Plant Vehicle Team (PVT) is a vehicle assembly plant based cross-functional team having the primary responsibility to manage the actions to improve current model quality. The manufacturing PVT engineer also has responsibilities for evaluating the impact of engineering changes on Body Shop tooling and processes. Additional responsibilities include: launch support for large-scale new model programs, launch lead on small-scale new model programs, and production support for issue resolution. The VO PVT engineer is a single point of contact for Body Construction responsibilities.

Skills Required:

• CAD program (AutoCAD, Inventor, SolidWorks, etc.)
• Microsoft suite (Excel, Power Point, Word, etc.)
• Strong verbal & written communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to operate in stressful situations within timing constraints
• Ability to work with minimal direct supervision

Skills Preferred:

• Experience with tooling, processes and facilities desired
• Working knowledge of statistics (control charts, data collecting, Minitab, etc.).

Experience Required:

1+ years of Manufacturing Engineering

Education Required:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology
