We pride ourselves on providing world class equipment to help maintain the environment that we love, while putting an emphasis on giving back to the communities that surround us.The Sr. Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the paint finishing systems and performs supervisory and administrative duties for paint technicians and maintenance personnel, including compliance with governmental regulatory guidelines and reporting of water quality, air emissions, and hazardous waste.What Will You Do?In order to grow and build a successful career with The Toro Company, you will be responsible for:Supervising and directing daily operation of the paint finishing equipment.Coordinating all preventative maintenance programs and emergency repairs.Investigating and justifying future equipment requirements and capital expenditures.Controlling the operating budgets of all supplies and operating accounts.Staying current with environmental issues associated with paint finishing.Maintaining appropriate inventories for consumables, repair parts, and supplies.Completing training of all personnel on equipment function and safe handling of chemicals.Reviewing and following up on Q.C. performance testing and analysis.Monitoring all operating parameters of the pretreatment and paint system.Troubleshooting processes to maintain uptime and minimize quality deviations.Maintaining accurate MSDS inventory sheets.Working closely with production, engineering, and maintenance departments.Collaborating with outside suppliers for improvements in finishing quality.Maintaining all paint SOPs and developing paint production tooling.What Do You Need?MFG. ENGINEER IIIBSME, BSIE or similar engineering discipline and 5-8 years experience in manufacturing systems, equipment, processes, tooling, and work measurement. Two-four years experience in paint finishing technology. Familiarity with basic chemical theory and strong computer skills are required.MFG.
