Job DescriptionJob descriptionWe are looking for a Manufacturing Engineer for planning, implementing, and monitoring technologyOverall Responsibilities: Develops, evaluates, and improves manufacturing methods.Responsible for automation processes and modifying current programs to reduce labor.Analyzes and plans work force utilizations, space requirements, and workflow, and designs layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency.Install, maintain, and replace automation systems at key points in the production process.Trouble-shoot non-functioning components including servos, sensors, and control components.Log equipment usage, parts replacement, and scheduled maintenance to ensure maximum functionality.Periodically report to leadership regarding automation capabilities and status.Demonstrates an understanding of Axis Fanuc and Cartesian Robotics.Confers with planning and design staff concerning product design and tooling to ensure efficient production methods.Demonstrates knowledge of Pneumatics and Hydraulic Controls.Confers with vendors to determine product specifications and arrange for purchase of equipment, materials, or parts, and evaluates products according to specifications and quality standards.Estimates production times, staffing requirements, and related costs to provide information for management decisions.Confers with management, engineering, and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, and other considerations to facilitate production processes.Demonstrates the ability to process and discover the Root Cause Analysis of a problem to identify the appropriate solution.Understands TAKT procedures to ensure manufacturing processes and aligning it with customer demands.Applies statistical methods to estimate future manufacturing requirements and potential.Must monitor manufacturing processes with technology that measures and controls quality (Statistical Process Control) SPC.Possess knowledge of Bills of Material (BOM) in an ERP System. Understands the extensive list of materials, instructions, or components that are required for constructing, manufacturing, or repairing a specific product or service.Active participant of the safety committee. Reviews safety investigations, completes and documents reports. Notifies plant manager and HR of safety issues as soon as you become aware.Implement any required safety changes.Possess a working knowledge and application of LEAN and Kaizan events. Maintains LEAN scope of the overall facility.Responsible for the implementation of OSHA and EPA policies and mandates.Qualifications, Skills, Competencies:Education and/or ExperienceBS degree in engineering from four-year college or university and/or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Language SkillsAbility to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.Mathematical SkillsAbility to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.Reasoning AbilityAbility to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety or technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.Computer SkillsMust have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office software.
