Position Overview The Manufacturing Engineer will play a crucial role as a logistics engineer focusing on Yard parts, mobile logistics carts, and AGVs. This position is a backfill and requires a dynamic individual who can adapt to changing tasks and environments, splitting their time evenly between desk work and fieldwork. Job Responsibilities
- Be flexible to adapt to changing tasks and needs.
- Manage a 50/50 split between desk-based tasks and fieldwork.
- Collaborate with a team of 15 20 members and coordinate with other departments.
- Work environment includes 50% on the shop floor and 50% in an office setting.
Candidate Requirements Education & Experience Required
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, manufacturing, or supply chain)
- 2 4 years of relevant experience in logistics, industrial, manufacturing, or supply chain engineering.
Technical Skills Required
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Design experience with CREO/SOLIDWORKS, AutoCAD, or other similar electronic drafting tools.
- Proficiency in Excel.
- Experience in Designing, Manufacturing, Operations, Inventory Management, Material Requirements, and/or Supply Chain/Logistics.
- Knowledge of 6 Sigma project management principles.
Technical Skills Desired
- Experience in designing logistics lifting tackles for forklifts.
