**This position works out of our Tipp City, OH location in the Abbott Nutrition division.** Our Nutrition business develops science-based nutrition products for people of all ages, from helping babies and children grow to keeping adult bodies strong and active. **What You'll Work On**
The **Manufacturing Engineer** provides technical expertise to the Tipp City plant, division engineering, and the Quality Assurance function to support new product introductions, new process/equipment start-up, validation, process optimizations, vendor qualifications, and process alternative evaluations. You will also be responsible for:
+ Implementing new and/or current manufacturing methods into manufacturing
+ Monitoring production to determine areas of improvement and react to unforeseen production/manufacturing issues
+ Providing technical training to plant personnel including engineering, equipment operators, electricians, instrument technicians, and maintenance.
+ Creating and executing validation activities
+ Planning and conducting small to medium-sized projects within the manufacturing engineering function (detailed project planning/monitoring, project reviews, implementation, validation, vendor / contractor management, and release to production)
+ Creating equipment specifications / drawings as required and ensure that existing documentation is accurate and appropriate
+ Researching, recommending, implementing , and qualifying replacement parts for discontinued/obsolete components, equipment, and software.
+ Identifying and implementing cost reduction and productivity improvement projects
Youll be accountable for meeting our compliance standards including FDA, OSHA and Abbott policies and procedures.
**Required Qualifications**
+ Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience
+ 5+ years of experience in engineering/ project management or advanced education to achieve level of skill
+ Project management experience
+ Experience with bottle conveyance, case packing, carton, bottling, labeling and palletizing systems
+ Knowledge of aseptic filling systems
+ Knowledge of process equipment such as pumps, valves, and instrumentation.
+ Ability to design mechanical components for machine improvements
+ Ability to update / create CAD drawings as needed per projects
+ Understanding of Maximo software
+ Understanding of SAP software
+ Strong understanding of OEE, KPIs, and other plant performance metrics
+ Ability to interact well with diverse groups within the operation and maintains strong working relationships with internal in a collaborative, fast-paced, goal-driven environment
+ Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering
+ Work experience in the food / medical industry under FDA regulation

The base pay for this position is $57,300.00 $114,700.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
