We are currently seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Manufacturing Engineer to join our team in Hagerstown, MD. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the production and transition to the production of lean and flexible CNC grinders for a diverse range of shaft-type components. The role also involves collaborating with various engineering disciplines, contributing to the transition of new products to production, and completing special projects under the direction of manufacturing management.Requirements:Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline.3+ years of manufacturing or equivalent experience.Detailed knowledge of mechanical and electronic assembly manufacturing practices, bills of materials, drawings, and assembly process workflow.Strong analytical skills with the ability to quickly identify problems and solutions.Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.Self-starter, motivated, and able to work independently with minimum supervision.Strong work ethic, goal-oriented, and a team player with good interpersonal skills.Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, prioritize, and finish tasks.Strong verbal, presentation, and written communication skills.Excellent computer skills: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and project scheduling software.Knowledge of sourcing materials, suppliers, and components.Hands-on experience with equipment/process analysis.Engineering Design Change Process experience.Exposure to continuous improvement initiatives in design, fixtures, quality, and manufacturing.Statistical data knowledge and expertise required for setting up grinding machines to meet customer specifications.Ability to maintain confidentiality.Job Duties:Develop manufacturing process improvements to enhance efficiency, analyzing workflow, space requirements, customer needs, and equipment layout.Implement lean techniques such as 5S, poke-yoke, VSM, Kaizen, and others during the development of manufacturing processes, and train production and technician staff.Prepare production reports and capacity models by analyzing production trends, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and metrics.Perform statistical analysis of production data, troubleshoot production test issues, and provide assistance and/or recommendations.Resolve product manufacturing issues, identify and evaluate changes to improve processes while maintaining high quality.Understand failure modes (FMEA) to make engineering decisions quickly.Establish Bills of Materials, routings, and standard costs; ensure manufacturing documentation is complete and accurate.Support engineering with design for manufacturability assessments for new product transitions.Lead the development of tooling and fixtures required for manufacturing.Develop assembly process flow and manufacturing work instructions for new and existing products.Assist in material and production plans and schedules to ensure resources are available to meet manufacturing requirements.Conduct machine capability studies, program and qualify data collection systems, and work with sales and engineering on machine order requirements.Maintain a high level of professionalism and represent the company to customers, suppliers, colleagues, and employees.Other duties as assigned.Top of FormShift and Hours:Monday- Friday8 AM- 5 PMTravel:Yes, Client site in WaynesboroType of Job:6 Months temp to perm.Hourly Rate:Up to 80,000 Annual Salary or higher depending on experienceHow to Apply:If you are interested in learning more about this opportunity, please email your updated resume to Jaie Rogers at ...@selectek.com or call 678-###-####.
