DescriptionAs a mechanic at Lundberg Family Farms, you will play a key role in maintaining and repairing equipment critical to our rice production operations. This position ensures that all machinery in our manufacturing facilities is in optimal condition, helping us produce the highest quality rice products. Your work will contribute to our legacy of excellence in sustainable farming.Key Responsibilities:
- Perform maintenance and repairs on manufacturing equipment.
- Assist with necessary adjustments to equipment, ensuring smooth operations.
- Implement and uphold a rigorous preventative maintenance program across all equipment.
- Maintain a deep understanding of all processes and equipment within the Mill and other manufacturing areas.
- Adhere to monthly maintenance schedules and communicate with supervisors regarding any delays.
- Maintain an organized inventory of spare parts.
- Safeguard hand and power tools, ensuring their security at all times.
- Ensure proper segregation of food-grade and non-food-grade chemicals to uphold food safety standards.
Requirements
- 4+ years experience as a machine mechanic
- 2 years of experience repairing milling and packaging equipment.
- Experience performing prescribed intermediate Preventive Maintenance (PM) work orders.
- Understanding of preventative maintenance programs.
- Fabrication skills, including cutting/torching and assembly.
- Intermediate knowledge of troubleshooting and repairs on low-voltage equipment.
- Intermediate understanding of Arc-Flash principles.
- Intermediate knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Valid California driver's license or a valid license from your state of residence, meeting insurability standards of our auto insurance carrier.
- Basic math, computer and data entry skills.
