Summary: Manufacturing Facilities Engineer is responsible for technical and maintenance support of the building and grounds.
Job Duties and Responsibilities are (including but not limited to): - Troubleshooting, maintaining, as well as improving buildings and support systems.
- Provide building system programming support (HVAC, pneumatic systems, central coolant, etc.).
- Contractor management for building, grounds, and security activities.
- Capital project management of buildings and grounds needs.
- Facility documentation managements and development.
- Development of plan for improvement and efficiency gains.
- Lead Decarbonization / Energy Efficiency program.
- Delegate cleaning and maintenance tasks to team members.
- Monitor the safety and cleanliness of interior and exterior areas, such as offices, conference rooms, parking lots, and outdoor recreation spaces.
- Perform routine maintenance on facilities and making repairs as needed.
- Schedule routine inspections and emergency repairs with outside vendors.
- Ensure proper security measures for the workplace, including collaborating with security system vendors or a team of security professionals.
- Maintain day-to-day operations of facilities, such as delegating or completing maintenance orders.
- Create reports on maintenance, repairs, safety and other occurrences for supervisors and other relevant staff.
- Prepare facilities for changing weather conditions.
- Collaborating with building owners and upper management on budgeting for facility needs.
- Maintain 5S certification of work area and throughout the facility.
- Perform data entry duties for a variety of maintenance/manufacturing/quality systems.
- Support and recommends edits and updates of new and existing documents as assigned.
- Audit buildings and equipment to appropriate standards.
- Support maintaining building layouts.
- Goals and metrics for this position are based assigned by the maintenance manager.
Required Skills and Education: - 5 years' experience as facilities engineer and an associate in science with an emphasis in facilities management or engineering or 10 Years Facilities Management Experience.
- Critical thinking / troubleshooting skills.
- Project management experience, managing small and medium sized projects for facility growth.
- Experience managing contractors for day-to-day work.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite Software.
- Flexible - willingness to work off-shifts and weekends to accomplish goals.
- Positive attitude with the ability to support the Company's goals and mission.
- Must use excellent ethical business practices and good judgment in dealings.
- High safety focus with the desire to maintain a safe work environment in an industrial setting.
- A commitment to continuous improvement.
- Ability to work collaboratively to solve problems and remain open to try new ways of doing things Ability to focus on highly detailed tasks to ensure accuracy.
- Ability to lift and maneuver up to 35 lbs.
