Talascend is currently seeking a Manufacturing Financial Analyst for a contract opportunity in Mt. Pleasant, WI. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsibilities will include analysis of monthly financial metrics, tracking capital spending and timing, and analyzing the return on capital.
- This position will work as the liaison on large projects between Finance and multiple other departments; including Operations, Engineering, and Sales & Marketing.
- This position will be responsible for updating management on the progress of capital project spend and reporting performance to plan.
- This is a key link between Financial Planning and actual Operational Performance.
Day to Day:
- Help plan, organize and execute future capital projects. This includes building capital spend plans, analyzing potential cost reductions, calculating ROIs, and working with the accounting department to ensure proper accounting treatment.
- Monitor and track current capital projects and provide updates to management and the Planning Group on performance to plan.
- This position will maintain and update our capital budget, monitor capital spend vs plan, timing of cost reduction, development of new products, and proper retirement of assets.
- Support World Class Manufacturing - Cost Deployment Specialist will be responsible for updating and maintaining supporting data for each Cost Deployment and help drive cost savings using WCM methodology.
- Work with Product Development on new parts and products.
- Ensure that new parts are set up timely and reflect appropriate cost.
- Work with Sales & Marketing on Price development, providing cost and expected margins on new products.
- Works with department managers to develop and maintain our annual and multi-year cost reduction plan.
- This includes analyzing data and providing information to calculate the impact of the reductions.
- This position is then responsible for communicating this information to management to update monthly budget/forecasts.
- Ensure cost reductions and new project spend are appropriately reflected in departmental budgets and annual standards roll.
- This role will track new products and ensure that costing reflects the proper amounts.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Proven analytical and problem-solving skills.
- 1-3 years' experience as analyst in accounting or finance.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel), Google Suites and other computer skills (Oracle, DOMO).
- Understanding of manufacturing environment is preferred
- MBA is preferred.
- Onsite in Mt. Pleasant with site visits to Racine manufacturing (1-2 visits per month).
