The site produces polymers in batch reactors that are used in a variety of semiconductor applications, including photolithography and semiconductor packaging. The role will be responsible not only for running test equipment, but also analyzing the results and performing necessary experiments in the laboratory environments. Responsibilities:
  • Work as part of a team environment. Everyday performance of duties in this position must be done in an ethical manner with safety and product integrity as the primary responsibilities.
  • This position be responsible for equipment, as well as, set up, operation, calibration (as required by method and instrument parameters), routine maintenance and troubleshooting of laboratory instrumentation.
  • Analytical analyses are run to support Production, AML and Product Development Departments which include raw material, in-process, and finished-product testing.
  • The person in this role will be responsible for working in a clean room operating ICP-MS instrumentation. ICP-MS instrument experience is preferred- but not required.
  • Execution of written SOP's to ensure analyses are completed correctly and consistently. Wide range of analytical instrumentation includes (but not limited to): ICP-MS, GPC, HPLC, GC, GFAA, titrators, KF, FTIR, UV-Vis, NMR, turbidimeter, densitometer.
  • Each analyst must be trained to be skilled in the operation of the laboratory information management system (LIMS), as this is the tracking system used by the lab for all samples submitted
  • Communicate results effectively to stakeholders and other interested parties.
  • Fulfill all requirements of group, site, company safety, ethics and quality programs.
Qualifications:
  • B.S. in Chemistry or equivalent (required)
  • Experience with a wide range of analytical techniques, including but not limited to GPC, GC, LC, ICP, NMR using a variety of detectors where appropriate.
  • Experience with ICP-MS instrumentation.
  • Experience with clean room practices.
  • Preferred experience working in the semiconductor or chemical field.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft programs (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) for data analysis and reporting.
