This position requires an associate degree in Industrial Systems Technology, Electronics Engineering Technology, or equivalent education. Also a minimum of five years experience in industrial maintenance is required.
CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:
Department of Defense SECRET security clearance is preferred at time of hire. Candidates must be able to obtain a SECRET clearance within a reasonable amount of time from date of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
SUMMARYSelf-directed technician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair a wide variety of manufacturing equipment/systems to support manufacturing operations. Apply advanced theories and fundamentals of computers, programmable logic controllers (PLC), discrete controllers, electronics, electrical systems, electrical distribution, electromechanical systems, electro-optical systems, pneumatics, and hydraulics
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:• Interpret, understand, and work from complex manufacturer's documents such as electrical, electronic, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics and mechanical drawings• Perform preventive maintenance and verifications• Troubleshoot and repair equipment problems to keep downtime at acceptable levels• Accurately document maintenance activity using Company status and tracking systems• Order, manage, and maintain maintenance materials, supplies, and tools• Support other technician areas and production based upon business needs
JOB ENTRY REQUIREMENTS• Associate degree in Industrial Systems Technology, Electronics Engineering Technology, or equivalent education• Minimum of five years experience in industrial maintenance• Passing score on an Instrument Technician Test• Passing score on a Maintenance Electrician Test• Qualification assessment interview• US Citizenship and ability to obtain DoD Secret level clearance• Effective written and oral communication skills
WORK ENVIRONMENT The working environment is a manufacturing environment for electro-optical-mechanical products. Typical characteristics for the working environment within this position include:
• Personal Protective Equipment: May include safety glasses, gloves, safety shoes, ear plugs,hard hat, respirator• Hazardous Material: Working with or near and disposing of hazardous material may be required• Electrical Hazards: Working with or near voltages up to 15 KV may be required• Physical Requirements: Lifting (50 – 60 pounds individually), frequent gripping, sitting, standing, bending, squatting, climbing, pulling, pushing, and reaching• Planned and unplanned overtime may be required
QUALIFICATIONS (Preferred)• Working knowledge of MS office software packages (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)• Working knowledge of a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
