Job DescriptionWieland Small Tube Products are currently seeking a Maintenance Tech to join our team!Industry: Heavy ManufacturingThe maintenance technician will be responsible for assisting to maintain, repair and update the organization's machines and equipment where proficiency allows.3rd Shift Hours: (11pm-7am)Responsibilities:Maintains safe working environment by adhering to all safety procedures and policies, including use of Personal Protective Equipment as required.Maintains effective communication with other employees, including supervisor/management.Assists to troubleshoot equipment that has failed to operate properly, determines cause of defect and undertakes corrective action that is required.Ability to operate machine shop equipment (including, but not limited to, lathes, millers, saws, pipe thread machines, grinders, drill press, shaper, etc.) to produce an acceptable part as directed.Successful completion of Crane Safety, Lock Out Tag Out, Confined Space and Powered Industrial Truck and other training programs as prescribed by HR/Safety Department.Maintains accurate records for all work completed.Able to work overtime as business needs require.Cleans and returns all tools.Attends meetings and participates as required.Upholds a clean, neat, and orderly work environment.Qualifications:High School Diploma, GED, or other equivalent training as approved by Immediate Supervisor, Next Level Supervision, and Human Resources Department.Maintains thorough knowledge of equipment/machine-specific SOP's.Proficient knowledge and understanding of 3 phase industrial electricity.Proficient knowledge of AC/DC schematics.Understands proper application of electrical codes.Proficient knowledge and understanding of solid-state electronics.Ability to read schematic drawings.Ability to size electrically.Proficient knowledge in use of acetylene torch and electrical welding.Knowledgeable in hydraulic and pneumatic systems.Proficient plumbing (pipe fitting) ability.Basic carpentry skills.Company Description:As the copper and copper alloy specialist at the top of the world league, we provide support for our customer's success from many locations and continents - backed by a reliable, flexible supply network and the best services of unvarying quality.
