Be a part of our team and help us continue to meet the growing demands of our industry.Job PurposeThe Manufacturing Maintenance Technician plays a crucial role in maintaining the smooth operation of our manufacturing equipment and facilities. This position involves performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting to prevent equipment downtime, ensuring uninterrupted production processes.Key Responsibilities
- Preventive Maintenance:Perform preventative maintenance on the machinery and building, as needed
- Repairs: Perform repairs and replacements of faulty equipment components, adhering to safety and operational standards.
- Must know and understand the emergency procedures in the event of equipment failure
- Repair equipment as needed due to breakdowns
- Responsible for overseeing maintenance of the facility and all equipment.
- Collaboration: Work collaboratively with production staff to ensure equipment meets operational requirements and supports production goals.
- Troubleshooting: Quickly identify and diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, ensuring swift resolutions to minimise production halts.
- Ability to troubleshoot all motor controls such as HMI's and PLC's.
- Ability to diagnose automation components such as HMI, PLCs, I/O, VFDs
- Continuous Improvement: Propose and implement improvements in maintenance procedures to enhance efficiency and equipment reliability.
- Be able to identify communication systems on automation devices.
- Ability to do basic programming of PLC's
- Ability to design and implement ideas and innovations to successful projects to increase equipment efficacy, safety, and reliability
- Sanitary welding a plus but not a requirement
- Safety Standards: Ensure all actions comply with occupational health and safety regulations, minimising risk to staff and equipment.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, parts used, and any issues encountered for equipment history logs.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
- High School Diploma or (GED) is required. Technical or vocational degree in related fields and bakery experience is strongly preferred and/or a combination of education and relevant experience
- 3-5 years of related industrial maintenance experience is required.
- Proficient in operating and maintaining mechanical and electrical systems.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work under pressure.
- Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and manuals.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with maintenance software.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
- Formal training in mechanical or electrical engineering is preferred.
- Certification in industrial maintenance or a related field is an advantage.

Compensation Information
- Base Salary Range: $68,000 to $72,000 annually.
