Job Description:

AP Professionals is currently partnering with an established manufacturer who has been in business for decades in search of a Manufacturing Manager! The Manufacturing Manager holds the pivotal role of spearheading operations within designated manufacturing departments. With a primary focus on meeting customer demands, this role is charged with driving continual improvements in quality, cost-effectiveness, and delivery timelines. From enhancing production processes to optimizing resource utilization, the Manufacturing Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring operational excellence and customer satisfaction.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensures continuous improvement and strategic alignment of manufacturing operations in the CNC and Press Brake departments.
  • Oversees comprehensive safety training and adherence to safety protocols among associates, fostering a culture of consistent safety practices.
  • Collaborates with engineering and safety management to evaluate and enhance processes for ergonomic efficiency and safety within the department.
  • Drives performance enhancements in CNC and Press Brake operations, elevating product quality metrics and ensuring adherence to customer specifications through coordination with the quality department.
  • Coordinates closely with planning and production control teams to maintain consistent production schedules, making informed decisions on staffing levels and overtime allocation to meet customer demands.
  • Manages the smooth flow of products through manufacturing departments, ensuring accurate production recording and seamless ERP system utilization.
  • Leads initiatives to boost productivity in the CNC and Press Brake departments, optimizing direct production labor efficiency and liaising with engineering for continuous process improvement.
  • Exercises fiscal responsibility by monitoring and reducing spending within the CNC and Press Brake departments in alignment with annual budgets, actively participating in the budgeting process for accuracy.
  • Provides leadership, coaching, and performance evaluations to group leaders and associates, ensuring adequate training levels and fostering professional development within assigned departments.

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor's Degree

EXPERIENCE

  • 10 to 15 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and training.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND OTHER CHARACTERISTICS

  • Possesses a robust understanding of operations management processes and manufacturing procedures.
  • Demonstrates expertise in Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications at an intermediate level.
  • Comfortable with software tools including Internet Explorer, Design software, Development software, Human Resources software, and Inventory software.
  • Highly familiar and adept with Manufacturing software (ERP) and Project Management software.
