TBEI is looking for a Manufacturing Manager at our Lake Crystal, MN location.Job Summary:The Manufacturing Manager oversees daily production operations to ensure efficient, safe, and high-quality manufacturing processes. This role focuses on achieving production targets, maintaining quality standards, optimizing resource utilization, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. The Manufacturing Manager will lead and develop a team, ensuring alignment with company goals and regulatory compliance.The Manufacturing Manager is responsible for driving continuous improvement in Safety, Quality, Delivery, Costs, Morale, and Environment.Duties/Responsibilities:
- Drive a safety-first culture and lead by example
- Ensure Customer satisfaction with products and delivery time based on production scheduling and demand needs.
- Monitor production metrics (efficiency, downtime, throughput, etc.) and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Ensure the effective use of resources, including labor, materials, and equipment.
- Lead, plan, and execute manufacturing and financial targets on a monthly and quarterly basis.
- Provide direction, development, and leadership to production supervisors/leaders
- Ability to manage change and maintain credibility with all production employees
- Coordinate plant activities and value stream flow with departmental supervisors/leaders
- Create/develop budgets and work within them
- Lead daily Gemba walks and communicate daily departmental KPI results.
- Lead initiatives to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and optimize processes using Lean, Kaizen, or similar methodologies.
- Ensure adherence to ISO 9001 requirements.
- Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and manage training programs to enhance skillsets.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Sales, Supply Chain, and other departments.
- Champion sustainability initiatives by reducing energy consumption, minimizing waste, and promoting eco-friendly manufacturing practices.
- Ensure products meet quality standards.
- Ensure facility security before, during, and after production shift
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Manufacturing or Engineering, 5+ years managing and/or leading in a production environment.
- Experience managing 75+ production employees
- Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Strong knowledge of production processes, Lean manufacturing, and quality control systems
- Experience in a high volume, high variation manufacturing environment preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to move around the manufacturing facility, including standing, walking, and climbing stairs.
- Capability to handle tools and equipment, perform inspections, and make adjustments as needed.
- Occasionally lift and move objects up to 50 pounds.
- Good vision to read blueprints, schematics, and perform detailed inspections.
- Ability to hear alarms, machinery sounds, and communicate effectively in a noisy environment.
- Must wear personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, gloves, and hard hats as required.
- Occasional travel may be required for supplier visits, training, or customer visits.
