Position: Manufacturing Manager

Duration: PERM POSITION

Location: Lake Zurich, IL 60047 – 100% onsite

I am looking for an experienced Manufacturing Manager with 5+ years of management to oversee the production of engineered-to-order products. This role will be crucial in ensuring that the metal welding manufacturing processes and sub-assembly environment meets the quality, efficiency, and safety standards while aligning with customer specifications.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing management, particularly in customized or specialized product environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Production Oversight: Manage all aspects of the manufacturing process for engineered to order products, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a diverse team of manufacturing personnel, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration.
  • Process Optimization: Identify and implement strategies to improve production efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance product quality.
  • Project Management: Collaborate with engineering, sales, and supply chain teams to ensure alignment on project timelines, resources, and customer requirements.
  • Quality Assurance: Establish and maintain quality control procedures to meet industry standards and customer expectations.
  • Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with safety regulations and best practices, promoting a safe working environment for all employees.
  • Budget Management: Develop and manage the manufacturing budget, optimizing resource allocation and controlling costs.
  • Manufacturing Software and ERP Systems: proficiency in using ERP systems like WorkWise, M2M, NetSuite, SAP, Oracle or BPCS
  • Reporting & Analysis: Prepare and present reports on production performance, including KPIs, challenges, and opportunities for improvement
  • Ensure the company vehicle is equipped with necessary tools, parts, and materials for effective product support, with all equipment and tools supplied by the company.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of science degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field; Master of Science degree is a plus.
  • 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing management role, preferably in an engineered to order or custom manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, techniques, and quality control methodologies.
  • Must be able to read schematics and blueprints
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire and manage a diverse workforce.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles and practices is preferred.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.
  • Proficient in manufacturing software and ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite
