GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Under general direction of the Director of Production, the Manufacturing Manager will oversee all aspects of production execution. This position will optimize production efficiency, ensure product quality, and maintain a safe work environment. The Manufacturing Manager will leverage contemporary lean manufacturing/continuous improvement processes to consistently realize the delivery of sustainable high-performance outcomes.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

* Promote a culture of safety and enforce safe work practices; ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.

* Implement and maintain quality standards and specifications and quality control procedures.

* Plan, organize, and oversee daily production to meet targets and deadlines.

* Partner with supply chain resources for optimized production schedules for improved flow of information, materials, and people.

* Oversee maintenance of manufacturing equipment to ensure optimal performance.

* Collect and analyze production data and performance metrics to make data-driven decisions.

* Implement process improvements and best practices to enhance efficiency and reduce waste and cost without compromising safety, quality or delivery.

* Utilize lean manufacturing principles and other methodologies to assist with continuous improvement initiatives.

* Assist department leadership in developing and executing to the organization's budget expectations, including labor, materials, and overhead costs.

* Monitor and control production costs to meet financial targets.

* Communicate regularly with upper management regarding problems or issues impacting the manufacturing division.

* Assist department and company leadership on special assignments and projects.

* Assumes the responsibility to attend and complete the initial MRI training requirements (core training and job-specific training). On an ongoing basis, attends and participates in any required recertification or refresher sessions and/or other training deemed appropriate by the supervisor and/or the Program/Department Director within specified time frames.

* Administers standard first aid and CPR procedures on an as-needed basis while maintaining current certification for both.

* Drives safely in an official capacity to conduct agency business for MRI with no transportation of individuals/families served; observes all local, state, and federal laws, as well as all agency policies and procedures.

* Operates a forklift to load/unload/move materials as requested or required.

* Communicates, retains, and releases information (both written and verbal) on a need-to-know basis and in accordance with the Mental Health and Developmental Disabilities Confidentiality Act and Macon Resources, Inc. Policies and Procedures.

* Practices and enforces MRI Safety Policies and Procedures and assures the safety of staff, persons/families served, agency guests, and agency property.

* Keeps supervisor informed verbally and in writing of problems and activities within assigned area of responsibility; refers matters beyond the limit of authority and expertise to the supervisor for direction.

* Performs special projects or other related work within the scope of the job responsibilities of this position as required or requested.

Qualifications

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

* Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Management, or related field/ equivalent work experience (Required)

* Minimum of five (5) years of manager-level or equivalent leadership in a manufacturing environment (required).

* Familiarity with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

* Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality control, and safety regulations.

* Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.

* Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.

* Ability to motivate and organize multiple efforts to accomplish goals.

* Must be able to meet the following physical capabilities:

a. occasionally lift and carry 30-50 pounds;

b. walk, sit and/or stand for prolonged periods of time;

c. mobility to push, pull, turn, handle, stoop, kneel;

d. eyesight correctable to 20/20 and color vision;

e. adequate speech and hearing sufficient to complete job responsibilities.

* Must be able to work in the following environment:

a. inside and outside with temperature variations;

b. noise and vibration variations;

c. light and ventilation variations; and

d. moving objects.

* Must be able to complete MRI training requirements.

* Must have reliable transportation to conduct agency business that does not include the transportation of individuals and families served; must maintain a valid Illinois Drivers License and a good Motor Vehicle Record; and must maintain personal auto insurance with minimum coverage of Bodily Injury-Liability per Person of $50,000 and Liability per Accident of $100,000, Property Liability of $100,000, Medical Payments of $5,000, and Uninsured/ Underinsured Person of $100,000 and Accident of $300,000.

* Must be able to adhere to the Safety Policies and Procedures of Macon Resources, Inc.
