Job DescriptionManufacturing Material Handler61 Barnes Industrial Park North, Wallingford, CT 06492CT180 Manufacturing FacilityFull-time Shift(s): MON TUE WED THU FRI 6:00am - 2:30pmOVERVIEW:Working as Full-time Manufacturing Material Handler, you will be responsible for keeping material cut and at the machine for processing and loading trucks. Additionally, will be involved with returning the extra material that wasn't used on each work order. This position may offer a flexible schedule after a period of onboarding, training, and meeting performance goals.RESPONSIBILITIES:Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:o Maintaining accurate inventoryo Providing on time delivery of material to the machineso Assisting multiple teams by supplying and returning materialREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:The following skills and qualifications are required for this position:o Excellent written and oral communication skillso Proficient computer skillso Demonstrate strong math aptitude, attention to detail and sense of urgencyo Highly motivated, self directed and customer service orientedo Learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast paced environmento Work independently as well as in a team environmento Demonstrate our core values of ambition, innovation, integrity and teamworko Lift, slide, carry and lower packages that typically weigh 25lbs-50lbs and may weigh up to 100lbso Pass the required drug screen (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico and Guam ONLY)PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:o Prior material handling experienceo Prior experience operating a forkliftABOUT US:Since 1967 Fastenal has grown as a distributor of industrial and construction supplies from a single branch to a Fortune 500 company with over 3,000 servicing locations, each providing tailored local inventory and personal service for our customers.
