STARTING WAGE: $24.00HOURS: 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. with the possibility of overtimeDAYS: Monday - FridaySTATUS: Non-ExemptSUMMARYSecond Shift Team Leader will be responsible for the various jobs associated with the production and sanitation of the south end of the building.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following, other duties may be assigned.
- Know and follow HACCP and SQF programs.
- Know and follow all Food and Safety procedures.
- Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Follow all Standard Sanitation Operating Procedures (SSOPs).
- Know and follow all Lock Out Tag Out procedures.
- Wear all required personal protective equipment. For more information see policy.
- Assist and train in production activities to help insure it is running smoothly and quality is being met.
- Help with the training in sanitation, chemicals, and positions within the department.
- Watch for and enforce safety procedures around the plant.
- Support and bring ideas to help create and support management decisions.
- Promote a positive work environment, resolve issues, and drive continuous improvement.
- Responsible for the compliance to production standards and product yields and communication of results to team members.
- Know the proper way to assemble all equipment in area, be available to help at any time.
- Properly inspect all machines before Pre-op
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESThis job directly supervises all personnel involved in the production, packaging, and sanitation of Mrs. Gerry's products and equipment. QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- Must have good communication and organizational skills.
- Must have the ability to think of ways to make jobs more efficient and productive. Help maximize profitability to produce the highest quality products.
- Experience in processing is essential.
- Ability to lead others, accept responsibility, hold team accountable, resolve conflict, and present solutions to production challenges.
- General math capabilities; add subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Comfortable with technology and learning new software as needed.
CERTIFICATIONS
- Employee must have or willing and capable of obtaining forklift and pallet jack licenses.
- Employee should be trained to preform first aid and CPR.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLSAbility to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
